How do I Get Sensible Guitar?

It's not unheard of to have a few type-o's in a book, especially a book of this scope. We are, in fact, quite pleased with our first edition, and can say with confidence that there are no really offensive errors.

Some normal, minor errors have been discovered, none of which compromise the overall accuracy of the book's content, or the effectiveness of its presentation.

That said, we are aware of the following, and we apologize for any inconvenience:

- On the title page, the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) is incorrect. This has been corrected in most copies of the book. (A sticker bearing the correct number has been affixed.) The number appears correctly on the back cover. The correct ISBN for Sensible Guitar is 0-9742042-2-6

- The final sentence in the introduction (pg ii) does not have a period at the end. It should, of course, read: "I hope you enjoy this book and find it helpful."

Pg 1: This page was drawn in a different program than all the other pages, and it behaved rather oddly when transferred for printing. At the top of the page, it should read "The names of the strings"; the word "strings" is omitted. Given the layout of the page, this barely qualifies as an error; the text just proceeds to the listed names of the strings. There are also two right-pointing arrows which run slightly into their adjacent text.

Pg. 11: The first of the two blues progressions should be labeled "1."

Pg. 16: The dots indicating the scale patterns should be of uniform size (some are slightly smaller than intended).

Pg. 19: Very minor, but the circles indicating the roots of the power chords are slightly askew. Ideally, they would be cleanly centered.

Pg. 23: The final measure of exercise 3 is missing a beat; the half note should be dotted.

Pgs. 24, 25, 28: There is some inconsistency to the darkness of the shaded areas from one page to another. This is most pronounced on these pages, where gray-scales reproduced lighter than intended.

Pg. 26: Beneath exercise 5, the final chord should be "G minor over B flat"; the flat sign has gone missing. Let us know if you find it.

Pg. 38: As with pg. 19, ideally, the circles indicating roots would be more perfectly centered.

Pg. 43: In the minor7 chord diagram, the dot on the first string should be consistent with others (it's a bit smaller).

Pg. 57: In the diagram of the D-chord shape (last one on the page), the dot on the first string should be consistent with others (it's a bit smaller).
